Planning Mastheads

I experimented with a variety of techniques to find an ideal masthead for my school magazine. I have decided to call my magazine High as the target audience will go to high school and it encourages students to aim for the highest. The first title is the just an outline and has a variety of colours. I am uncertain if this would appeal to the whole of my target audience, also, iw works really well on a black background, but I dont think it would show up as well on a white background.

I thinkthe second example is a good use of colour and if i maybe changed the colour, it coudl appeal to all of my target audience more than it does now. This effect does look similar to chalk or crayon, with this I feel it may appeal more to the younger generation and not for a high school.

This last example is my favourite as it is bold. It appears to have a glow around it and introduces a different shade of the colour in some areas. It would stand out on a black, white or most coloured backgrounds and has been hand written which could appeal to the target audience.
